Nham, un garçon de 17 ans, doit subvenir aux besoins de sa famille à la suite du décès de son père. Il tombe amoureux de Ngu, sa belle-soeur. Les choses se compliquent avec l'arrivée d'une jeune femme qui revient au pays après avoir vu le vaste monde. Le garçon n'a bientôt d'yeux que pour elle: elle représente tout ce qu'il souhaite voir, tout ce qu'il espère devenir. Elle voit en lui toute l'innocence qu'elle a perdue.Nham devra apprendre à discerner les illusions et à assumer sa propre réalité.

Nham, a seventeen year old boy, is responsible for the support of his family since his father's death. He falls in love with Ngu, his sister-in-law. Things get complicated when a young woman returns to her homeland after having traveled the vast world. In no time, the young man only has eyes for her: she represents everything that he's ever dreamt of seeing and everything he would hope to be. she sees in him all the innocence that she has lost.
